About CodeKitBase

CodeKitBase is a collection of client-side developer utilities for web engineers, QA engineers and UI designers. Every tool you'll find here runs entirely inside your browser.

That means your code, your tokens, your JSON, your CSS, your image files — never leave your device. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is sent to a server. Nothing is logged. We think that's the right default for a developer toolkit.

What we build

We focus on the everyday workflow gaps web developers hit:

• formatting and minifying JSON, CSS and HTML,
• converting between encodings (Base64, URL, YAML),
• color utilities and contrast checkers,
• JWT, regex and hash helpers,
• plus cheat-sheet references for HTTP status codes and MIME types.

What we deliberately don't build

We keep one strict boundary: no SVG-specific tools live here. SVG-related generators, optimizers and icon utilities belong at our sister site svgmod.com. Two sites, two clear tracks, zero keyword overlap.

How it's built

Plain static HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript. No tracking pixels, no heavy frameworks, no remote third-party scripts unless you opt in. Everything is designed around three ideas:

1. Privacy is a feature, not an afterthought.
2. Lightness is UX — pages should load before you blink.
3. Offline-first — once loaded, tools keep working without a network.
